Homemade Sour cream

                                          1 cup of heavy cream, I lift mine off from the last nights milk with a tiny gravy ladle.

                                                         1/4 cup sour cream or cultured buttermilk

                    Now that you have the ingredients you need a one quart canning jar or the like, just something with a screw on top will work.

                   Now add the heavy cream and sour cream or other starter and give it a little shake, not to much, just to mix the ingredients.

                   Now for the easy part, let it sit in the jar for around 24 hours or until it becomes very thick.

                   This will store in the icebox for about a week, you want to let it get a bit cold before you use it. 

                   You can re-culture this quite a few times and it always turns out lovely.
